I don't know if this has been posted before but I've found the info here very handy regarding techniques and materials for re-riveting play field plastics and the like.

LOl- just done some rivets, to replace i ended up using a concrete step with some paper acting as a buffer, an extension from a socket set and a hammer.
Not sure ill be posting my technique on a " How to" blog somehow

Cheers mate... but my system did work and i managed NOT to hit my thumb with the hammer which was good

You can get a pinbits kit which suffices for attaching plastics/flasher dome bases etc

But I use one of these for ramps since it can apply more pressure to the rivet and thus get better grip strength than the pinbits kit.
