I'm sure I've read something about this, so I'm sorry if this topics already been covered.
I just bought and ultrasonic cleaner from ebay as it would appear that they do an amazing job. Just wondering how many of you use (or have used) them for pinball parts? Verdict? ()

I use one for small parts.. hand cleaning can be a bit of a pain. I normally chuck them in the US cleaner with a water and ammonia mix, blast them a couple of times, rinse,dry off and then into the tumbler for polishing.. works really well and can have parts cleaned and polished in about 4 hrs

I use one on each and every restoration.
Clean hardware before tumbling. Media lasts longer, cleans faster....

I've been thinking about buying one of these and found that there looks to be a pretty wide variety of types and models. What ones do people own and are you happy with it?

I've only ever used the one that I bought and don't know anyone else with one.
I'm stocked with the job it does in such a quick time, it still spins me out. I imagine most of them would be pretty similar in result. I believe the higher the frequency, the better it cleans but couldn't confirm that.
I chose the one I got based on size and the inbuild heater.

i guess the biggest issue with this sort of stuff like Ultrasonics/tumbles blah blah don't really use them enoff to justify buying them ^&^

I have been thinking about trying one of these for quite a while now.. just havent done anything about buying one as yet.
Its one of the many things on my extensive 'to do' list, which just keeps growing ^&^

Ended up buying the U/S bath above, works great for small to med sized parts, old plastic posts clean up nice, I've even thrown in dirty incandescent light bulbs, dry them out for a couple of days & test, surprisingly the fail rate is Very low after sonic bath,
if i had my time again i would have gotten a bigger unit, small wire forms, larger metal items like trough/weld mats parts wont fit ()
