It seemed good when I played it but havent had a chance to check out the new software upgrade.
I personally think the crane was utilised a little too much but is a good feature, not too bad when stacking multiballs (gives you something to aim at near the flippers while watching for drains)
The far left tilting ramp takes up a fair bit of playfiled area, but is a neat toy.
Always nice to play a brand new pin, so smooth

I have actually only played this game once.  I played it while I was at stern two months ago.  Pretty cool game.  I like the color scheme.  The crane is pretty cool.  I just need to put some more time in on it.  I hope someone brings one to expo.

Looks like it will be the Pinball Tournament machine... Should be fun!

I've played about 10 games on it, and at first it was pretty boring (mind you the software was not ready even though it was released!). Once the software issues were fixed up, it's not bad to play. The Crane is over-used in my opinion, but overall a bit of fun.

Some of the late model Sterns do seem to have a very long play time. I am sure that when playing POTC at a meet I clocked up some serious minutes.

the cabinet artwork on batman dark night would have to be some of the best cabinet art ever made on any pinball machine in a hundred years i reckon.

i have seen a few brand new in peoples homes, and they are just stunning to look at. still fun to play as well.

crane idea is fine. pinched from Last Action Hero ofcourse-sort of.  ^^^

As discussed elsewhere, Stern are releasing a lite version of BDK, with a few of the main toys eliminated, selling at Costco at $700 less than the standard version  ::) I could understand if it was a decent saving but if you are going to pay $3300 USD for a game, I think i'd pay an extra $700 for the real version.  Maybe if Stern were selling it at half the original price then I could understand.

Anyway here is the review:

I totally agree with you. If you had a comp for the best art work on any pinball, I would vote for Dark Knight best.
