Update to an old thread, I scored one of these LG scanner mouse today for my bday and even though it says on the box that not compatible for a mac I checked LG website and there is a download and bingo it works.
You have the option to do low, medium or hi res scanning but not a specific DPI that I can find yet.
Will try scanning a portion of a playfield soon. and maybe attach a sample for a example.
