Pete, even with version 1.4, it doesnt show the custom message unless u press left flipper button. Will send off a email to Stern and see if they can add that to next gamecode upgrade, and will ADD a request for a attract mode adding music/audio for a 10 second burst on the attract mode, if they can make/invent a attract mode for the AC/DC models.
Pete, a question, > if you hold your left flipper button in after a few left flipper press's, does your custom message appear that way as well ? 
Brett if i hold the left flipper button in the screen goes to "competition mode" and counts down from five waiting for me to press the start button.

No Brett no custom message only comp mode countdown-also there's no led's under apron apart from one each side of apron facing the out-lanes I've attached an iPhone vid so quality's crap sorry
