Judging from what others said in the Star Trek repaint thread, you need to find areas never exposed to sunlight
behind the trim on the coindoor, inside the backbox, behind the legs, and (if momory serves me) inside the box that is inbetween the cabinet and backbox
And when you workout what to use for the gold, post it here as I would love to know :)

just as a thought, how is the condition inside the cabinet?
If you are getting the paint, maybe touch up the sides where the playfield rubs
Remove the door trim. The original factory color will be revealed - including the gold
