I prefer lights off in the room, but it does make some games impossibly hard to play in the dark areas.

It also highlights some major flaws in playfield lighting from inception of the machine itself.
It's certainly inspired me to add additional lighting in dark areas to liven it up.

It addressed the dark area at the top left of a BOP......Of course all you need is a BOP to make it any good but the Ideas there. Lots of other cool lighting mods by the same people here too.
