On a playfield ?

I use Frisket. Hard to track down at times, but you can get it at some art suppliers stores in a roll. It sticks well enough to use an airbrush for touch ups without lifting.

I never use contact unless you are using it as a substitute for mylar - ie - to protect the touch ups.
