I have heard a lot of good and bad things about Mad.....
Perhaps they are just slack, perhaps it's a hobby business (like Homepin) ad he can't devote the time at the moment, perhaps his cat was just run over (that would be reason for celebration
) - who knows what's happening in peoples lives???
