The internet is responsible for the comeback of pinball.
I guess the internet is responsible for marketing alot of things these days by default of people just being able to hear about certain products, services or situations.
But, we still dont have decent marketing of pinball machines in Australia by mainstream retail outlets. Bunnings, Harvey Norman, anything like that, even as a trial should be putting real machines (not pictures only) in the front of customers who can play, hear and see these magnificent pinball machines in action. I have never heard or seen someone walk away from playing a pinball machine without a huge smile on their face, saying cool, that was fun, I want one.
We also need better n more flexible finance options from banks n other finance brokers for our products. Jet Ski, motorbike and home theatre system luxury markets all have it, why hasnt the pinball industry got this in a big way...cause no one has pushed the envelope yet...We need more marketing and smarter marketing of the pinball industry. All it takes is one great simple piece of marketing that can be copied n cloned, and away new in box sales will go. Places like Bunnings n Harvey Norman should be on the list of normal places to see a pinball machine set up, or at least places like JB Hi Fi, EB games etc. All it takes is one successful place, and away the acceptance will go.
