What machine?
I use the LEDs from pinballlife.com
If it is a modern Stern, I put a colored LED underneath the colored instert

I use 3 LED bulbs
I am yet to use frosted bulbs, that is next on my list as bare ones are too focused in one area

there is no 'Right' way to LED a game
it is up to you as to how you want your game to look
