Now she looks complete.........Funny how most restores of TZ will include everything but the change/upgrade of the shitty piece of protector cardboard. As KTM stated, I use MDF coated with a gloss black, but the clear looks very impressive too.

Yeah thanks for the tip mate, I didn't even consider it before I put it all back together.  Too keen to get it going I guess, as I didn't even play a game before I started stripping it down.
