are they custom ones with a chrome silver or gold finish, as had it happen on my IM (which has gold plated buttons) so maybe the extra thickness reduces the clearance, but it also appears to be when you are pushing the button on a slight angle

new set of buttons
or
spray a little bit of silicon spray inside the button but be careful not to get anywhere else.
