I really don't see the need, the legs hide the marks so why bother? Maybe I'm a bit rough.
Some of the late model pins have decals that have peeled well beyond the leg coverage.
Monster Bash and Cactus Canyon spring to mind. Only the first 100 or so of these were screen printed, the rest were decalled (poorly) due to industrial action by the manufacturer at the time.
We would probably see the same in a few years time with some of the decalled Stern models such as Transformers (if they actually got played regularly in the wild).
