I bought some "white" rubbers from an Aus supplier a couple of months ago and they were the same as you describe.
They didn't seem to happy when I asked for money back, probably the same company.
I got caught by that as well added them to an order I needed, couldn't be bothered asking for a refund, just threw them in the bin and cut my losses
