Your description is spot on. All, Nino restored a Buccaneer a few years ago which I was most fortunate to be able to purchase from him. It was one of the first Gottliebs I played as a kid, and it is a really fun game to play. Very addictive, for sure.
Seems from the images that the respray of this one did not include the splattering effect. I will be restoring the cabinet of my Buccaneer, and will have to tackle how to do the splattering, as this is something I have never attempted.
