Nino,

Your de******ion is spot on.  All, Nino restored a Buccaneer a few years ago which I was most fortunate to be able to purchase from him.  It was one of the first Gottliebs I played as a kid, and it is a really fun game to play.  Very addictive, for sure.

Seems from the images that the respray of this one did not include the splattering effect.  I will be restoring the cabinet of my Buccaneer, and will have to tackle how to do the splattering, as this is something I have never attempted.

Splatter effect is easy - dip an old toothbrush in the black paint - just the tips or ends of the brush and using your thumb, flick the toothbrush from around 2-3 feet away. Try it on a piece of cardboard first and wear a glove. Make sure the black paint is the same finish as the cabinet, and don't thin the paint out.

Edit - Make sure you do the splatter effect after the base coat and before any other color. The splatter is under the other colors.
