Re: BACKGLASS STORAGE AND SEALING

With sealing a backglass with triple thick, I was wondering what the best way is to cover the score windows? if you cut out cardboard and lay on top of the windows with weights, does the overspray cover part of the cardboard resulting in adhering to the glass and the cardboard requiring some cutting around the edge to seperate? I was thinking of just regular strips of masking tape over the windows with maybe some trimming on the edges when removing?

Also on a glass with some de-lamination areas, but solid non flaking paint, does triple thick actually seep through the paint and re-adhere the paint back onto the glass?

Excellent questions - these have me wondering also.

I have a few glasses from the 1950s and 60s that need doing but I'm worried about making them worse
