Nice project....is it just a translite thats been mounted accordingly?
Is it illuminated with some fluros inside? and if so, is there a power switch (perhaps underneath like a pinny) to turn off the light when you wanna sit in a dark lounge watching DVD's ???
I also think there's some metal bands/corner-clips you can get that cover the mitre-joints on the corners to present them better than an open gap ;-)
