a good stylus is important
I`m lucky enough to still have a Kenwood table from new . bought a component system is 1989 - paid about 2300 then. CD player died about 5 yrs ago , Amp finally died 2 yrs ago . speakers are not kenwoodt  - I got conned into a speaker upgrade at the time , but these speakers still kick ass. now live in the shed/mancave.    but stylus - very lucky that for some reason had a brand new spare one in box. this has kept things going.
converted most LP to digital some time ago.

some of the lps that had some meaning to me I`ve put on display in a frame in shed.  picked ones with good designs or just good albums. took the lp out and just used the covers. better than in a box under the house
listen to vinyl when I feel like it , but these days digitals is much easier. I have 600 gig of music a mouseclick away.
