That's some great work so far, but what are your plans for that busted up light board?
If you can get it drawn up, i'm could cut out a new one for you on my cnc for the cost of materials and postage. Not sure that would be economical but if you cant find another solution, im here.

thats really cool of you to offer, but, I will do this by stencil first with 4mm MDF then when sweet I will then adhere this to 16mm MDF and duplicate. This will then give the original 20 mm thickness required and allow for fox ups on my behalf.
I am basically going to lay each piece on the new board and use some old spray paint to try and stencil it and then measure, mark, cut and cross my fingers.


You can actually source 20mm mdf from a specialist store (not bunnings). I would make the template from 4mm as you say as a test, then clamp it onto 20mm ans use a straight cut router bit with a bearing and a router to transfer the pattern to the 20mm. It would be nicer to have it made from one piece and not two laminated pieces.
