On the subject of decals,I remember when i was a boy i used to buy transfers for model planes, you use to put them in water as well as rego labels, wonder how they were made, would be ideal for aprons with small writing (eg Gottlieb).Being a lot thinner than decals, reckon they would be less obvious than thick decals.

Water slide transfers - real easy to make!!
Get a piece of paper and soak in wallpaper paste or similar - basically a water soluble glue.
Tape this down on waxed paper to a board to prevent curling when drying
Spray with a clear finish - lacquer is good
once dry - use this paper to print off what you want.
Then spray with lacquer again.
Once its all dry just dip the paper into water and the glue dissolves - the 2 layers of lacquer slide off with the print sandwiched in the middle - then apply to whatever it is that requires it - spray with a sealer.
Simple huh??
