I once hit a shot at the trap door on my TOM at the exact time it closed. The ball was halfway over the hole but hadn't fallen down so when the door snapped closed it came down on the ball and wedged half closed on top of the Ball instead of flush on the playfield. It bent something in the assembly and it didn't line up properly when it was closed after that.
