All comes down to the initial buy price anyway, so you never know.
Had a Japanese WCS a few years ago that I restored which ended up getting traded around the pinball community. I would say most people here and on the other forum would have played it at one stage or another (since it has been traded all up and down the East Coast of Aus) without being aware of who did the initial resto work on it.
