This is Great! finally some clues, still having trouble sleeping but it's getting easier now!

Apparently they fitted GPS devices to them for tracking on location, they also reported back to base when the machine was abused and a car would pull up outside the venue and men dressed in Paisley Suits would make the person responsible for triggering it disappear.
