Just letting you know that a Pinside fellow has written a new Ubuntu (Linux 24.40) Pinball 2000 Emulation Software.
It has been tested and released for consumption and is free of charge.

It needs a 4 core processor to operate and the sound, taking a core for processing, is derived from the Williams ROMS (Quite a feat) and not sampled sound like Nucore did in the day.
I have a copy of the new emulator but haven't installed it yet. I want to build up a new PC for this as it needs fairly high specs.

My experience with Nucore is that it was/is a great system which I still use today. New features have been incorporated into Pinball 2000 which enthusiasts have written which brings RFM and SWE1 to todays level of features including auto ball re-launch in SWE1 like RFM. Technology moves along for sure.
