The absolute BEST thing you guys did was build something from scratch, for the benefit of PINBALL. That gives your effort a 10/10 for me !

Now I use corncob media - which is more of a finer polisher that walnut. Walnut is more of the cleaner for really dirty parts. I have used Brasso before, and the results are ok - but no where near Flitz (from the USA).

Using a tumbler will never remove what appears to be rust.

Clean all the parts by soaking in near boiling water and Nifti. Dry the parts. Remove the rust with a wire brush - I use a wire wheel on my bench grinder

Use more brasso - maybe a teaspoon worth.
