they have 3 coats of incralac lacquer on them  already should keep them shiny for a while but not sure of the wear factor.

I am leaving the rails and lock bar and the piece around the apron Chrome as the path to adventure on mine is stainless steel not the red plastic

I am gold plating the wire ramps, rails, legs, lock bar and plunger assembly on the Addams.

I am looking at getting them 2 packed somehow. I think polyurethane will harden better than the lacquer and will tolerate more handling and use
