Very Cool!
You can improve the sound by adjusting the sustain pot on the sound board. Have a fiddle around with it while the game is in sound test mode.
It's not changing the sound at all and I don't know what this should sound like, I might go and get some 10k pots and change them as they could be shot.
I'll upload a quick sample of mine shortly. Will give you something to work from.
