Yeah I will buy a multimeter tomorrow I think. Now I just have to learn how to use one. They make no sense to me. I will just wait for a step by step from you Marty

Make sure it does AC and DC voltages (all should), it has Ohms, Diode and continuity (buzz). Do a quick search here on DMM and you should pick up some more info.
