No hummmmm at all !The transformer in my Flash is mounted in the headbox. Its humm is quite noticeable when everything is quiet. Is this a williams thing, or do transformers develop humms? lolCant hear my gottliebs humm at all.I dont notice the humm when I have the stereo on (just love playin pinball to loud music), and flash has that escalating sound feature (which I do like);)But yep will check those nuts.tyIt can be a number of factors. Poor quality Transformer, poor line voltage and sometimes some DC voltage on the line. Sometimes - You can eliminate humm simply by tightening the nuts on the transformer. Do this only with the machine off and the line cord out of the wall socket..You are correct with the statement that Gottliebs are quieter than Williams. I've noticed that too.
