I rebuilt an EM cab (still working on it) - Here's the thread ;

Right down the bottom of the first page, you will see the repairs to the corners of the cab and the wood I used to do the repairs. I've already drilled the holes, and the leg plates will be nailed in.

I'm not sure what you mean by "tynes"
