I'm not sure what you mean by "tynes"





I assume he means the steel rectangular plate that the bolts screw into.  This plate is normally nailed to the inside of the cabinet.


If that is the case, then it is required. The holes in the wood are larger in diameter than the bolts. The machine would not be level.
