Interesting article, I remember reading once that Gary Stern continuing production of pins was a tribute to his father Sam. Therefore I guess he would do everything in his power not to let his memory of his father down and continue the legacy.

Yes, and probably to keep the memory of Harry Williams alive too given that Sam started out with him and after Harry had left WMS, Stern used him to design some of the classic Stern pinballs.
