After replacing everything on the playfield with all new parts the last of which was the posts last weekend,i have decided to give the cab a full respray.I could use some help in getting as close a possible to the original colours. There are 3, Black,White and an Orange/Red colour.Does anyone know the shades for these colours, if so that would help me out as i want to keep it as original as possible.Do i use Flat,Semi Gloss or what for this job. This is my first try at this but you have got to have a go sometime.I will be starting in the next few weeks and will post before and after shots.Cheers.

Hey Punter,

Gav (Retropin) is an expert in paints so I'll leave that side to him!..

In my limited experiences, preparation is the key to getting a good finish.  If there are no repairs to be made, this will make it easier for you.

With the paint - what type of application are you planning to use?  If all 3 colours are on the headbox, it might pay to remove it and go to a Dulux store and get them to match for you?  Keep in mind the paint will be faded and not the original brightness.  I found on my BH, under the side rails gave the best indication of true paint colour.

Good luck.  Looking forward to the pics
