Had a look at th eddy switch and yep that's the problem. tap it with my finger and it activates and sometimes stays on. Adjust the pot and all ok. Thanks to Silverball and MM
Yay good to see a fix. Goes to show experience helps!
Never had a machine with an eddy sensor... so much left to learn!
