Hi, I'm actually a believer in not taking off the rails....It's unnecessary and you can still get a great cabinet re-spray job.....but the main reason is this....under the rails is the one place where most machines have an excellent ORIGINAL paint and colour of how it was when new. Why destroy this piece of treasure when you don't have to? ... and you can clean/de-rust the rails on the box. ... Cheers, Mark
