I get a lot of inspiration from the black and white Winterland gig. They were hungry, and it shows.
That B&W footage is priceless. A great show that shows THAT hunger and chemistry. Incredible.
I agree with Tony - their "heyday" was 1974 - 1978. Amazing that we keep referring back in time to those "glory days". It is all relative, but back then there was nothing close to the level of popularity and intrigue that they possessed.
I might have to pull out all stops here - Houston 1977, Budokan 1977 and Anaheim 1978. What shows !
