Thanks for the words of encouragement.

This was a little more protracted than I thought it was going to be, ended up painting almost 100% of this playfield.

For this particular playfield here's what I used:

Paints were water based acrylic and clear coat was auto acrylic. You will also notice that the black artist ink that I use isn't affected by clearing.

The first 2 coats are tact coats and are very thin coats, the next 2 are wet coats and go on heavier. The block sanding after 4 coats lets you flatten out the brush marks and any imperfections.  The final 2 coats seals everything in and gives it the gloss.  After the final 2 coats I lightly block back again and buff up after that I use novus 2.
