I know this sounds silly, but if that machine had of turned up in a fully shopped state, Andrew would have been unhappy. For Andrew, getting it with a list of typical faults was also what he was looking forward too as well. Thats why he wanted a "As is" machine.
Saving money had little to do with it, it was the fixing, the tinkering, the "man versus machine" challenge he likes to take on.
Having a list of challenges to fix, gave Andrew a chance to get his hands dirty and have fun fixing stuff. Sort of like a retired mechanic asking the family to bring their cars around for servicing. This machine was no challenge for the Beaky.
Beaky made a list of the "fixits" and said "is that the best you can do, huh,i'll have u sorted in no time". "Dont mess with the Zohan " ! lol
It was extremely generous of Mark C to provide the machine this way to Andrew.Other sellers would probably have said "I cant win if this guy rings up and complains theres a bulb out or somethings not right, i want a discount". But the "As is" machine was exactly what the doctor ordered.Perfect.
Mark C has again provided another enthusiast with their dream pin and a big thankyou to Mark for his usual easy going manner.
Its nice to see ya mates happy with a new toy. Andrews already looking for the next machine.
And as for the BK2000, if I had to describe this machine using just one word, I would say it is XXXXXX, well, I am sworn to secrecy, but I would definately keep an eye out for the photos and the rest of the story, cause its going to be bloody worth the wait, plus some !
