Don't reckon it can be a connector issue. Much more likely to be game settings and I'd be looking hard at these. To me they should be
14, 15, 16 & 17 = a non zero number and ascending in value
25 = a non zero number for number of credits awarded for Hi
27 = 00 for special awards credits
28 = 00 for award credits at replay score
This stuff is straight from the Instruction manual which I assume you've got?
