What's the lifespan of these? Are they a type of plastic/vinyl material similar to what signwriters use? I'll always be cautious painting over aprons, even though my Flash apron printing is a bit rough, it's still original. Same goes for my other machine.

If they are still the same ( and it sounds like they are ) - they are a very thin clear material that has the red and white sections printed onto it. The red and white print was exceptionally high quality. What you did was to peel the back off and stick it down over your blask re-sprayed apron and the clear sections ( once dried ) dissapeared and complteely blended in to the black background , leaving the high quality red and white visible.

If you used the wet method to instal them - it took a good 2 -3 days to completely dry out underneath - it will look milky at first but I assure you it dried VERY VERY nicely.
