Cabinet rebuildNot exactly a rebuild, but the front will be removed, cleaned up, repaired and refitted. Here's the stripped and cleaned cabinet ;

The plan is simple. Remove the brackets and check to see exactly what went wrong for the repair to be this extreme. I can replace the brackets with hardwood 30mm cornices I found at Bunnings and used on my Pro Football (with great success).
Here's the front section removed. Looking at this angle, the removal of the left side (6 bolts and nuts) revealed that the join was loose. The sidewall join was broken, and the section that dovetails into the front panel was cut. The other side is fine. So I removed the staples and cleaned it up with an emery cloth to give it some "bite" later on.
Left hand side looking from the front. Seems to be ok - So I've cleaned it up;
Front section is not too bad, but the corners have "bowed" slightly on both sides. Not mach I can do here, so I've cleaned it up and checked to ensure it will fit back into the body - which it does. I will use liquid nail and clamps initially and wait 3-4 days to remove the clamps - well thats the plan !
I've moved to to cleaning the cabinet parts and polishing the parts in the tumbler !
