Douggie, similar to you I also love the pins from the early 70's through to the early 80's. There's just something about the design and feel for this era of pins - much simpler than the following years, but still have great action. Plus it saw the evolution from EM to SS, so it's great to have a bit of both (can't imagine having just EMs or just SSs). I have nothing against the "next gen" pins after this era, but they don't appeal to me (to each their own, of course). I suppose that period in my life from around 1975 to 1984 was when I was in my pin heydays.
It will be interesting what becomes of pinball 10, 15, 20 years from now. Once our generation eventually passes to the next, hope there is the interest to keep it going.
