FINALLY !

I had a day off early this week and dropped off the siderails and the lock down bar at a local powdercoaters. Now I had prepped the parts by removing the adhesive and any thing else on the parts. I was VERY surprised to see that the inside of the siderails were a semi gloss, almost gloss finish. The finish on the outside of EVERY DE I've seen has been FLAT. I've never seen a NIB DE, so I asked the powdercoater to MATCH the inside finsh. That is what he did - and it is a lot more gloss than flat. In fact, it is closer to a gloss. I was really surprised. Here's the results;

I simply used double sided tape, lined up the siderail and installed it using the bolt as a guide. Took around 5 minutes. I was REALLY happy with the results.

On top of the playfield glass, there are the two front decals I had redrawn by Wotto. I had them professionally printed. THey are a little on the glossy side - But that's fine - they look COOL !

Nice finish on the Lock down bar !

They were carefully installed on the machine

and here are the results so far - almost done. I've ordered a replacement plastic for the chipped "mosquito" plastic and a new return spring for the Dino. I decided to buy a new spring as the Dino would sometimes (1 out of 10) not pick up the ball.

Not far to go now - It plays really well !
