Small update today guys, its also great to see so many other restorations on the forum at the moment, lots of great stuff to read  #*#

Coin door was finished out today - i really like to keep the original style door where i can, as i like my games to look close to their flyers...

This is what i HAD to start with...it had been hit with a mound of 'touchup' paint over its years, which isnt really a problem. The door was relatively straight, except for the rivets *!@
Should finish out well...

I love sand-blasting stuff  @@* so this was a good day...

Back to bare metal...

I had the rivets drilled out, and the remaining holes were patched with weld, and further finished out with an auto-body 2-part filler.
The components sanded back nicely, and you really would struggle to pick out any rework (hopefully)...

All door parts now back to the original Williams spec paintjob, complete with that infamous textured top coat  ^&^
For the guys who share the love of original doors like me, i will be offering door refinishing as a stand-alone in the future through PinTales...

After parts had cured, i built the door back up and fixed up any Euro wiring hacks that had the loom looking pretty sad. Shouldnt have any issues now.

As she stands, waiting to go 'home'...

And finally back in place. Now onto the next part of the project...WIRING up the playfield... @.@

Shouldnt be too long before the first game, and im absolutely HANGING out to play this machine...
