Gee you're keen Dave, but I guess at least you'll be a "bit" familiar with the game!  Will follow this thread with interest.

Looks like the cab split is below the level of the play field support rails, I wonder if you could just cut a new piece to fit inside the cab under the rails and glue and screw this to the inside - might give more support and rigidity than brackets and when painted may not stand out as much?
