If i was applying double sided tape to install new rails, i am not sure i would use a continuous strip verses a few small patches placed evenly along the rail.

I have seen various people trying to adjust/take off newly installed rails just 2 minutes after putting them on, and let me tell you, its like shit to a blanket, it is definately not going anywhere. AND the issue is, the decals then get ruined trying to get the siderails back off.

Even a few well placed dbl sided patches will hold the buggers on well enough. It just gives u a little room for taking them off later etc.
