I bet that the reson QLD has gone with the daylight saving is because of the gold coast and the tourism market. why, I am not sure, but it must help tourism for some reason.

Once upon a time, pilots on aircraft coming in to land on the gold coast or brisbane airports used to say for a joke "ladies n gentlemen, we are entering queensland airspace, please wind you watches back 20 years".  %.% %.%

Now, its just an hour ! daylight saving is a pain in the ass. I cant see any benefit.Its always funny how old people in their 70's or 90's etc complain the extra hour of sun will fade things etc.  @.@
