I put an alarm system in a upmarket queenslander style wooden property the other day in Brisbane City and they had purchased 3 x pinball machine playfields and hung them on the wall as art pieces. They looked amazing. There were also some very very old backglasses hanging as well. The man had no pinball machines, but just liked the antique pinball look. The owner also knew nothing about pinball at all, but liked the look of retro stuff.
The 3 x playfields were from the 1930's and they were immaculate playfields. The man said he paid a few hundred dollars each from an old antique store.
Perhaps this seller on ebay with this paticular back glass is hoping for a similar buyer who knows nothing about pinball, but wants a nice art/conversation piece at a hefty price !
Same here
A couple of years ago I bought an 8Ball back glass off ebay
the guy did not own any machines but had bought them a few BS's from Bumper to hang on his wall
